    Strzyzynska

    The story of Strzyzynska

    Alicja Strzyzynska creates handmade furniture. Her objects are an attempt at a dialogue between the essence of fine art and the functionality of the design. Her aim is to create intimate objects that bring humans closer to nature. The collection is designed in an intuitive manner. Her experiments with sculptural textures are unique yet unpredictable. 

    Concept

    Alicja's work cross between fine art and furniture. Her objects are organic yet refined. The brand needed to be designed with this ideology in mind. The challenge was to combine two distinct approaches while keeping the concept minimal.

    Visual Identity

    The logo is straightforward in a given style. It consists of the customer's first name and last name. The cause for this is the need to build a human brand that we can connect to, including its stories and history. The font of the logo highlights the personality of the artist and the value of his works in a sleek and minimalist style. The natural style that flows is increased by the other brand assets.

    Typography

    Typography was selected to represent both the abstraction and the simplicity of the brand. The choice was to pair a modern font with sharp lines "Alethia Pro" and a more condensed and geometric font "IBM Plex Sans".

    Colour Palette

    Website

    The client needed a website to display and sell her artworks in a minimal and intuitive way. The site layout is based on the divided segments, each containing a focus element. The works are proportionally integrated within a symmetric grid.  

    Mobile

    The mobile version of the website  is built to mirror the simplicity in the desktop version. However, the grids are extended in order to blend in with the border of the screen in an attempt to use the device as the borders, bringing together the concept of fine art & minimal design.
